    Default M1 garands

The Phillippine Govt. is returning 86,000 M1 garands to the United States and the CMP will most likey be the recpient. So for those that wish to own one now is the time to get your ducks in a row. There is no time line when they will be returned as of yet but start watching if you are interested.

Yep. Between these and the GI 1911s, CMP should have stuff to sell for quite a while. Of course the rumor is that these Garands won't be anywhere near as nice as those they've sold in the past due to poor long-term storage in a harsh climate.

They won't hit the market anytime soon. Once CMP gets them, they get inspected, stripped, rebuilt as necessary and then graded. Once that is done, they will list them on their site and send some rack and field grade guns to the Anniston and Camp Perry stores. Typically the better grades are sold through the CMP site and the very, very best are typically auctioned through the CMP site.
