Black powder friendly clubs/events in SW Pa
I've been looking for places in my area that have BP/ muzzleloader events on regular basis like wood or trail walks get kinda boring shooting alone . only one I've found so far is Clairton sportsmans club least it says on their web site . Know any others ? Not serious competition just informal for fun Shoots is what I'm looking for .

If you check out the Pennsylvania Federation of Black Powder Shooters, you can find local events. I did find their web site, but the calendar was not filled in. My wife was a member a couple of years ago and they sent out a schedule of events. Maybe give them a call.

Tim,
PMSC has 4 PAFOA group shoots scheduled this year. It might be entertaining and informative to show up with your muzzle loaders. They usually have paper and steel targets set up. The next one is April 22nd.
PMSC is lacking in Black Power interest. I'd love to start some fun shoots there. I know of a handful of members who would be interested, but I'd have to get board approval to open it to the public.Last edited by Hawk; April 12th, 2017 at 12:25 PM.

I belong at Clairton. The muzzleloader group there is very active, and I heard from others it is a lot of fun. I traded emails with them about going but have just been too busy.

Ambridge Sportsmans Club also has a very active black powder following with monthly events/shoots.
www.Steelvalleycasting.com is your new home for coated bullets and custom ammo.

Tim,
Was at Clairton a bunch of years ago shooting CMP and stopped by their muzzle loader woods walk they have. It was a really cool set up and looked like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it was scheduled the same time as PMSC's CMP shoot so I never made down to one of them. Seemed like a bunch of great guys too.
Always wanted to do something similar at PMSC but never was able to get it together.Koli's back from Ambler.

Thanks all , I emailed the director of clairtons woodswalk , 4th Sunday of the month and sounds like a real fun event . I've shot Highpower there's few times also , they have a nice club , having a similar event at PMSC would prob have a good turn out . I know I would go for sure Always enjoyed the matches you guys had and it would be less of a drive ! Lol
