    Cool Gun club?

Im looking to join a rod & Gun club but need some help in finding/joining one. All the obes i have heard of either are far away or i need a sponsor to join and dont really know anyone. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I live in NEPA in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre/Kingston area even The Mountain Top area as I work up that way.

    Thanks

The only club I know up that way is Factoryville. Maybe wander up when they have one of their shoots and ask around.
That kind of approach has worked for me before.

I believe gghbi is correct that Factoryville is the closest option.
You may want to check out the 2 Stickys on the Ranges Thread (http://forum.pafoa.org/forumdisplay.php?f=18 ) to a Google Map of ranges and also a List by County.
I am not sure how recently either of them where updated.

Wilkes barre rifle and pistol club is I Hunlock creek. Not sure what the requirements are to join but it's a nice club. Factoryville is also a beautiful club.

WBRP has a 9 page application with 3 references required, year probation, and during probation you have to attend and have the form signed that you were at 2 work days and one of each of the disciplines of competitive shooting they hold matches for. Nearest club to me that isn't centered around a trout pond or only has trap ranges, but doubt I could keep up with the membership requirements. Great range though, including a 2 dozen firing point 50/100/200/300 multipurpose. Helping with a military rifle marksmanship clinic there in 2 weeks.
