I'm not aware of too many incidents other than those mentioned. Fortunately it's been quiet.

Much appreciated; I found some of the contemporary news accounts of your story, ACLU's surprising involvement, as well as some of the court paperwork regarding the settlement.

Is this in regards to a specific case or something broader? I am sure many here would be willing to snoop around the web and pass along anything solid that we find if it would help.

My job comes with restrictions, I can't say more now. But any info on acquittals or convictions for peaceable open carry by non-prohibited persons in PA would be to the benefit of all of us. Offhand, I can't think of a single case where a criminal conviction has been upheld in such circumstances.

I wasn't cuffed by SEPTA but was disarmed and detained. Following an IA investigation I received an apology from Chief Nestel (hand signed - woo hoo!) and a promise to better implement their open carry training.

Between the Erie incident, Viper in Philly, the Lancaster polling place incident, the State Supreme Court rulings and the State Police training, adverse open carry incidents now appear to be the exception rather than what was once the norm. To all those that paved the way for what is now acceptance, I salute you. Where once the polizei might have been called in, now nobody says a word whilst I wander around Wal-Mart, or Lowe's, or Giant Eagle, all the time open carrying.

Yup, Chief Nestal is one of the good guys at the Authority. I had a copy of the training program for officers but it got tossed with a whole bunch of other papers I got rid of.

I have been open carrying in Montgomery/Bucks area for more than 5 years now. Never had an LEO encounter, let alone a problem.
