Truly great news. And now that the 60 vote threshold is gone let's hope Kennedy or any one (or all) of the libs leave the bench so the court can truly lean conservative.

This is, as I stated frequently, the only thing I needed Trump for. Everything else is gravy. The court balance is maintained and not tipped 5-4 the other way. Not to mention, a Hillary presidency would have likely resulted in a few lefty justices retiring allowing the court to be stacked against us for a very long time. Now, if we get lucky, RBG will decide she can no longer do it and ride off into the sunset.

Congratulations to Justice Gorsuch. This was a historic day. This was the first time a filibuster was attempted and then defeated for a Supreme Court nominee. Democrats should be ashamed of their behavior but they aren't. The only way to deal with democrats is to resoundingly defeat them.

Depends upon your point of view, think about all the democrats that got the same alert.

As long as Gorsuch doesn't fall into the same inside the beltway mindset as Judge Roberts then we'll be good. But yes this is a major, major deal of which the impact will be felt for sometime. Also rumors are Kennedy wants to retire and he's always been a waffler, so if he wants to go, nows the time.
