I've hit deer running full tilt. Three I can easily think of, over years of hunting. It's simple. It's called leading. So if you think it can't be done, you are the one in the woods not knowing what you are doing.

Big picture, once they say the scary black rifles are good for hunting they become legitimate.

No. If you miss it's one thing. But if you hit that deer and didn't have good shot placement it drops and goes to get up. You have an immediate follow up shot. I'm just saying. You shouldn't have to put 3-4 or 5 rounds into one animal to kill it. Probably bad wording on my part

Being a capable hunter has nothing to do with the firearm. But if one is on the run and I'm leading it and don't place the best shot. I have an immediate follow up without moving my face or hands having to re acquire the shot. Plus personally I like the ergonomics of my black rifles and find them more comfortable to shoot. And I don't have to but a $1000 stock to make it that way.

How does that have anything to do with whether or not semi autos are allowed for hunting?

That's what I was wondering as well. I once missed a running deer with a win 94. Now if I missed the same deer with my ak how's that any more/less dangerous. Especially considering with the proposed 5 round limit on semi autos my old Winchester lever gun would have held more ammo and emptied it similarly fast.

    Just disallow bump-firing and mechanisms.

Hello what i was saying it's alot harder to hit a moving target with a single projectile. That's awesome some can do it. Im ok with the 5 round limit. I just fear the idiots that are out there just unloading a full mag spraying bullets everywhere.

You mean like what happens in the 48 other states that allow hunting with semi-auto? I hear the woods are just chocked full of dead bodies.

You need to realize that is just your personal fear and far from the reality of it since it's legal in 48 other states with no actual evidence of any type of negligence or unsportsman like behavior being caused solely due to a hunter having a semi auto rifle. I have an issue with regulations passed based on those the lowest IQ who may happen to hold a hunting license.
