Could be a phony news story with a couple of random pics. Doesn't add up.

No clue whether this is true or fake or whatever. I reload and you certainly do need to be careful. Many of the cartridges that I reload will physically not accept a double charge, however on those that do you have to be very careful and double/triple check your work. Don't allow yourself to become distracted while reloading.

Yeah. This is just one reason why I don't reload (referring to that train wreck thread). This is exactly the kind of shit that would happen to me, no matter how careful and precise I tried to be.

Risk a fucked up hand so I can save a few bucks? No thank you.

And people wonder why I do not reload. I have a very real fear of this happening.

This is why I reload. So I don't have to worry about getting a double charged round from the factory.

Oh my god....Shouldn't have looked at that....

I reload several rifle calibers and even though it is pretty much impossible to double my rifle charges I still shine a light down in the cases and compare the powder height just to make sure they are all close.

I had considered reloading some handgun calibers but since ammo has come down in price might just stick to factory loads.

That only makes sense if you make your own guns too, so you don't have to worry about a manufacturing defect from a factory made gun.

Why I use bulky powders; a double charge is a spill.

Sorry, but those who go about on two wheels don't get to pretend to not put themselves in danger.
