Experienced AK Gunsmith in NEPA? Lackwanna/Luzerne/Wayne/or Pike County

I have an AK that needs threads on the barrel. I need someone that knows what they're doing.

Any suggestions?

Do it yourself. As long as you don't have the intention of putting a silencer on the end of it, you can get a threading kit for less than what a gunsmith will charge you.

The gunsmith at Gander Mt. at the Lycoming County Mall has done two jobs for me - both with good results. It is in Lycoming County but only an hour + south of you.

The problem for me is my threads are kind of fucked. My barrel was part of the preban and had threads ground down, so my barrel thickness is .503 which I can thread 1/2-28 .. but the walls on the barrel are not even. So I need a pretty slick solution. I'm thinking 1/2-28 thread then using a 5/8-24 adapter on top of it, and tacking that on or something.
