Did you point out that if you put it to the back of their heads and pulled the trigger, it would be just as likely to kill them as a more expensive pistol would be?

    1) Everyone should have a target in their range bag with the bullseye just obliterated (take it out back and do it at point-blank if necessary) for such occasions.

    2) Change 2nd sentence to "Jawohl, Obergruppenfuhrer!" and I think you've got it.

Better yet, look them in the eye (if you can make your cheek twitch even better) and simply say "I once killed a hostile with half a ball point pen and a wet-nap, why do I need a fancy gun?"...

FWIW, any S&W is respectable firearm. Doesn't matter what one shoots, they all make noise, smoke and smiles.
Exactly. Nobody should ever be ashamed of a Smith & Wesson.

Honestly, this was first time I've ever heard of anyone "dissing" an S&W as cheap/inferior.

When I buy junk like that I spray paint the slide silver and use a magic marker to write Les Baer on it...

Maybe those motherfuckers never heard of the constitution.
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

How about looking at them and repeatedly asking, "Is it safe"?

This is a real good thread , and as already stated happens in a lot of sports , way to many people get into the brand name game , I've seen it happen in sporting clays , in NRA high power and others a lot of it comes from those that are just starting out or don't want to be super serious and do it just for the fun or just don't have the money to invest in the best of the best gear they ,ask for info on an Internet forum and are told you just gotta have brand X Y Z And everything else is junk. I've been there in highpower and was told in no kind way my dpms would in no way be competitive same with the PMC brass and 55 gr midway soft point bullets I was reloading using pulled powder from CZ 54R surplus ammo(still have the club record in rapid prone with that combo) . Guess what I made master class with all that same stuff ! It's the persons abilities and the work they put in to it that make you better than the guy with the big name brand gear be it pistol shotgun or rifle . For years I used a ruger p90 big bulky ugly thing but never jammed and would shoot as good or better than the twice the price sig 220 or most all 1911 models . It's what I had it's what I could afford my family had a roof above them and food on the table and bills were paid and no debt ! Never feel shame over what tool your using if you can use it well . . And if it were me back in my younger days with steadier hands I would have told those guys put up or shut up . Best score wins the other guys gun !
