Re: why is more expensive better.
I used to drive autocross with a modded STi and would get beat by Miatas. Those were some of the best cars due to short wheelbase and light weight. And yes it sounds boring because you don't go very fast, but the quick accelerations and numerous tight turns make it a lot of fun. I stopped when they started charging $50 for 4 mins or less of track time and expected you to "work the track" for 4+ hours.

I managed to plasticize my AK. Torn between two lovers, I like the look of it with wood furniture, but like the utility of the plastic.

Re: why is more expensive better.
I spent about 5 minutes digging thru my mental archives to come up with what plastic parts existed on my motorcycles:
Bike #1 - my first vehicle, got me thru 2 years of college before I got a car - 1959 Harley Servi-Car: Plastic parts = speedo needle (maybe)
Bike #2 - got in trade for #1, sold when I needed the cash for a reliable commuter to handle 45mi each way on I-95 - 1974 Sportster: Plastic parts = yellow reflectors on fork sliders; speedo case, lens, needle
For reference:
Gun #1 - Taurus 1911: Plastic parts = Mag base pads
Gun #2 - Taurus 1911: Plastic parts = Mag base pads; glass/polymer magwell
Sgt.K don't do plastic...

Re: why is more expensive better.
People in my club have made suggestions for equipment upgrades to me, but I know it was in a spirit of genuine good wishes for helping me to do my best possible.
With all of the people who don't want us to have cheap guns or expensive guns at all, we don't need any kind of divisions among us.

My 1982 Gold Wing Aspencade had so much plastic, radar couldn't see it. (Which I LOVED about it).
