Default Got my LTCF Approval Today.

Just got a call from a Detective at GPU that I was approved. I'm like 14 days shy of 45 days.

Was told I should receive approval letter soon and come on down.

The fist call went to my voicemail. I was thinking that I was being denied when he called back. I've never been arrested or anything criminal but I've read the posts about parking tickets and tattoos. I have no unpaid parking tickets but I do have a very visible tattoos.

Tattoos?.....when did that become an issue in the issuance of the license?

I've read posts here that the interviewer asked what applicant's tattoos meant. The person that interviewed me acknowledged my tatts and documented that I had them and where but didn't ask what they meant.

Interesting.I wonder if any of that is done in any of the other counties or if it's just more arbitrary Philly PD bullshit.

Known gang tats, could bring question of how upstanding you are as a person. I have mixed opinions on this.

Upstanding, you mean kind of like the Fatherland tattoo that that Philly cop received so much flak over?

I've never heard of any county other than Philly doing this, including the parking tickets crap.

I don't have mixed feelings on it, tattoo's have zero to do with the qualifications to get a LTCF. The whole reputation clause is BS, the next thing they'll want to do is deny people wearing a certain color t-shirt because the sheriff thinks certain colors make you aggressive.

I do not think the tattoo thing should matter, I have a good friend that used to be in a gang, has tattoos all over him, he has never been in trouble with the law, and is now an active member in our church, he has an LCTF. Great guy.

I have been waiting a week so far on mine, still no word.
