There is no civil rights infringement. They are not a government entity and gun users are not a protected class. They can bar anyone they want except those protected by law.

It makes sense, in this litigious society, to take steps to prevent prohibited persons from renting guns or range time.

To all I am going to be a fair guy. And what I am going to do is poke my head in just to gauge the climate, so I can see the operation first hand. Then I will come back and post my experience with going in there. I will go in with an open mind and be receptive to the staff and other customers. Collect my intel and come back here and post my findings. Not trying to be a prick. I have always been fair in dealing with people and businesses. And have made friends with a few shops and ranges that I frequent. I may even take a person that is new to shooting and firearms purchases just to gauge that interaction as well. It can't hurt to do that. Worst case scenario is that it is as bad as I have read thus far. Or it can be a really really good experience. We will see. Hoping for the best.

There are several rules that you might want them to explain too. When you stop in ask for Tommy to explain it to you.

That always struck me hypocritical as hell. I've got a thread on it about 4-5 years back.

As for the OP, I can understand his point. DL and felonies pretty much have nothing to do with each other, but it is their business, and they can make stupid but not illegal decisions all day long. Like advertise that they are an "Official Gun Buy Back Location, authorized by the Federal Government" (aka they have an FFL).

I have never held a Drivers License. I have never driven a motorized vehicle. I don't care if Targetmaster decided they would only take retinal scans as a form of ID. It is a private business that sucks in other ways so I don't go there. I think it is hypocritical of someone to try and force their will on a private entity and then partake in other freedoms recognised by our Constitution.
