Default Quick and cheap fix to slippery 1911 front straps

I know this idea is nothing new and some will steer clear of it at any cost but it's so easy to do and works great. Does anyone else have any skaters tape photos they would like to share?

No photos but I use it. My favorite use is on the sides of a slide at the rear. Racking a slide is not a strength problem, it is a grip problem.

I also apply it as you have.

One thing. As is, the tape is far sharper than it needs to be. I either file the grit with a file and quickly remove the sharp, or rub two pieces together, reducing the sharpness.

I have tape on the slides of my 1911A1, KelTec P3AT, Glock 23, front panel of AR 15 magazines, strategic places on standard furniture bolt rifles.

If you had a Glock with finger grips you wouldn't need that.

I know. In the words of you tube great James Yeager "All guns should be Glocks, all Glocks should be 9mm and all 9mm Glocks should be model 19s." (puke now)

Some of us silly boys just refuse to listen and keep buying those big old things devised in nineteen hundred and eleven!

He also has a youtube video that says you don't need grip tape, learn to properly grip your gun...

but back on subject, i've used the tape method. works great for me. i prefer the granular vs rubber tape. strange since i like the rubber version of talon grips...

If you had a Glock with finger grips you wouldn't need that.
    ... Even on my Glocks
