No photos but I use it. My favorite use is on the sides of a slide at the rear. Racking a slide is not a strength problem, it is a grip problem.
I also apply it as you have.
One thing. As is, the tape is far sharper than it needs to be. I either file the grit with a file and quickly remove the sharp, or rub two pieces together, reducing the sharpness.
I have tape on the slides of my 1911A1, KelTec P3AT, Glock 23, front panel of AR 15 magazines, strategic places on standard furniture bolt rifles.

If you had a Glock with finger grips you wouldn't need that.

but back on subject, i've used the tape method. works great for me. i prefer the granular vs rubber tape. strange since i like the rubber version of talon grips...
If you had a Glock with finger grips you wouldn't need that.
