Has anyone received a survey about semi auto hunting?
I just read in PA Outdoor News that the PGC is disregarding the emails they received regarding this issue. They are concerned most of the pro emails originated from the NRA and don't represent the hunters of PA. The PGC just sent out 4k surveys to ask actual hunters what they think. If you get one, make sure you send it in.
Any vote for a third party is a vote for a Democrat. You are the enemy.

I did not receive anything. Do you know if they sent it snail or email?
I just did a quick google search and also looked around the PGC website and didn't find any mention of a survey. They vote in 6 or 7 days so unless this was sent out a while ago I can't imagine they can expect to have any meaningful results prior to voting.

They probably maintain a roster of Fudds for just that purpose. Same jackasses that gave you the 'one buck, nine does' herd decimation scheme.

Re: Has anyone received a survey about semi auto hunting?
I just got a game harvested survey. Nothing about semi auto. I thought this issue was put to rest? How would a sample of 4K relate to 900,000 licenses. I doubt they would get a return of 50%. It does not seem to be a valid survey. They could have just added a question to the game survey, or the report card.

This probably wouldn't have been an issue had they introduced it this way from the beginning, it is what I would have expected. But no, they said they were going to allow semis for all game. Game Commission blew it again in my opinion.

Re: Has anyone received a survey about semi auto hunting?
I too am among the many that are disappointed. The survey does indeed sound suspect. But the highlights from today's meeting suggests that they are willing to reconsider (probably for future seasons) if the overall opinion of hunters changes. So let's force their hand a bit. I'm drafting an email to the PAGC currently and will be printing it and snail mailing it as well. Head over to their website and let them know you want it approved for big game as well.
Topics for my letters include things others have posted previously.
-it seems a bit ridiculous that roughly 1200 people will decide the fate of nearly 1 million hunters.
- Also, act 168 passed through legislation that isn't always friendly to the gun culture here in PA, by a margin that prevented a veto, no less.
-Also, semi autos are just plain cool and by their own admission in their highlights of today's meeting, younger hunters widely support semis, which is where the future of PAs conservation efforts will be maintained, the younger generation of hunters. Shouldn't we adopt policies that promote the next generation of hunters?
