    I sent to PGC Comments:

    (Subject line) Are you serious?

2004 people answer a “survey” and that affects hundreds of thousands of hunters?

I’ve been hunting Penna since 1949. No one “surveyed” me.

What is this, an anti-NRA backlash?

Don’t bother sending me your phony Thank you for communicating.

The surveys should have went out to EVERYONE that purchased a hunting license at a minimum in the last year. Instead they knew that sending it out to clubs would get the exact results they received and wanted.

Perfect example of deliberate sampling. No different than polling a specific group of people for political purposes to get the results you're looking for. The PGC has turned hunting political. They're utilizing the more vocal minority to further their agenda, IMHO.

Time to become more vocal. Flood the PGC Facebook page. Complaining only here isn't going to get the job done.

Facebook is about as useless as posting here. You guys that are active hunters need to file FOIA requests to the PGC to determine the method that was used to determine who got the survey, why that method was chosen and the actual real results of the survey. There's shenanigans afoot, and they need to be rooted out.

Yes, absolutely, I understand that. But those that oppose semi autos also frequent the PGCs public Facebook page. I believe they, too, should understand the "poll" that was conducted involved only a tiny fraction of PA hunters and does NOT represent the will of the majority. I believe that point needs to be made clear. WE know there is some shady shit going on. EVERYONE needs to understand that. It needs to be exposed.

Time? It took 112 years to get authority for the Game Commission to just think about allowing semi-auto rifles for deer.

I belong to two different clubs and I never heard anything about a survey being sent to them.

Yep. It was the easy button. You know they count total membership of the club, even though it is a small percentage of the roster that is at the meeting voting for or a positive or negative position on these items. They send these questionnaires out regularly on a variety of issues. Whether you think it's right or wrong (I think wrong), it's how they do business and you either have to make the choice to be active and stand up or lay down and get rolled over. I assume that they are only polling clubs that they do regular business with too; clubs that host Hunters Safety Courses, etc... I wouldn't hold my breath expecting them to come looking for clubs to correspond with.

Are they affiliated with the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsman's Clubs?
