Wind last night
Not sure about the rest of the state, but man the wind last night (overnight 03/06/07) was CRAZY! It was so bad near me that it kept me up half the night.
Anyone else have similar experiences?Last edited by ChamberedRound; March 6th, 2007 at 10:28 AM. Reason: Updated to clarify "last night"

Re: Wind last night
I nearly got blown off the highway last night and during the day. It was really windy here yesterday afternoon/evening.

Re: Wind last night
It isn't a heck of a lot better today. I've already seen a redlight that was blown down and my trailblazer was bumped back and forth on eastbound 422. This could get ugly with them anticipating a decent snowstorm tonight into tomorrow around here.

My little Honda could barely keep up. I was doing maybe 80 on 76, and I felt like I was about to go back to future and take my mom to a dance.

That's why I married my wife... she's makes for a great security system!
She often jokes that if there were an intruder, she'd have to wake me up to call the police after she shoots the intruder!
(She actually wakes up if I turn the volume on the TV DOWN two "clicks!")
She did wake me once and by the time I opened my eyes, she had the Glock out, offering it to me as I went to check on the source of the noise she heard. (Nothing snaps you to your senses faster than seeing your wife with a handgun!)
It's a team effort - she has night watch while my eyes are always scanning my surroundings when we're out and about. (and she's focused on shoes or something!)I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I work downtown in da'burgh and it was brutal. Still sucks this AM but yesterday was pretty hardcore. down here the wind sweeps between buildings and creates a windtunnel kind of deal. There were cheap newspaper stands that blew over and papers throughout the street.
