I took both my G19 and my XD45C to the range on Saturday. I've been using the 19 as a carry gun for a while and I am very comfortable with it. I put 100 rounds through both weapons and the only thing that I can say for sure is that I like the ergos on the XD more than those on the 19. Probably because I found the XD more comfortable in my hand I was able to fire it more accurately than the 19. I love them both and I'll keep them both but the XD is quickly becoming my favorite. This is my personal, first hand, experience and it is what I recomend that anyone do. Shoot both then decide.

Thanks to all of you, I just went and put a XD 9MM on layaway. I read all your input, not just from this one thread, but lots of other threads here. I loved the tip, to "fondle the weapon" (that was what made the final decision for me). The thread on the 45 vs 9mm that some of you thought was old and boring, lead me to lean towards the 9mm. And I am an old 45 acp carrier from way back. I had a Glock, Smith & Wesson and the XD all out side by side. I looked and looked and fondled and asked a zillion questions. The salesman was wonderful and answered all my questions, and thru in some of his own points of view that I found very helpful. When it was over. I got a great deal on a Bi-Tone XD 9mm with all the goodies (promo package, very nice. Holster, dual mag pouch, extra 16 round mag, magazine assist loader (all lock together to carry them) pistol lock and nice case).

I would like to thank all of you that take the time to give your opinions and imput on these threads. Because of all of you. I know I have a great pistol, and I haven't even gotten out to shoot it yet. I am anxiously awaiting that day. Hope to meet some of you on the range one day.

Awesome!! Glad we all played a part in your decision. There really was no wrong choice.

PS. I'm a gun "fondler" from way back

Wise decision on choosing the 9mm, too. Glad I could help.

Glad you found a weapon that you can enjoy. Now, get to the range, put a couple hundred rounds downrange, and give us a range report!
