If I acquired a milsurp M9 or M9A1, first thing I would do would be to replace the barrel, locking block and all springs.
Just to be safe.
That being said, I bought a civilian Beretta M9 last year (full M9 markings and M9-XXXXX serial number) - so the only difference between my M9 and the military issue M9s is the serial number. Still looking for a M9A1 to go with my M9 and M9A3.

There are a large number of weapons lent to Korea such as M1 Carbines, the 1911A1. They are supposed to be for the most part in good condition and all are just waiting for President Trump to sign. I think we will see them within the next 4 years. I love my CMP purchases.
