Short Title: An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, providing for report of theft or loss of firearm and prescribing a penalty.

Jump and ask how much within 72 hours of discovery, including detailed description of what you were doing in the bathroom and bedroom over that period and with whom. Penalty first offense- $500.

It is very important to report a lost or stolen gun so law enforcement can set up the blockades and house-to-house searches to recover it before it commits a crime. Also, when a gun is recovered after committing a crime, it is very important to know it was lost by or stolen from the previous owner, which will lead to the person who found it or stole it which will lead them to the perpetrator of the current crime under investigation and then they can return the gun to its rightful owner. See?
