Did you get a bad batch of those 6-mag pouches from Sportsman's Guide when they had them dirt cheap?
The ones where the flaps are too short and won't snap closed?

They usually close on 3 mags but not 6, and not 3 if I have any doohickies on them like MagPul rubber pulls. And maybe not the thicker-based plastic mags.

Are you doing the "add a tab with a snap" fix like I saw on Youtube?

That allows for all the assorted mags to fit.

Curious because two of mine won't close on USGI mags with 2 in each pouch.
If you have a better solution, I'm all ears.

EDIT: This is what I saw on Youtube for modifying them for use with non-USGI mags...

Probably something like that, although I may use a big-ass stapler instead of a needle & thread. Seriously. I connected two of these pouches back to back, started hand-stitching a seam all around the periphery, and had an inspiration to use a stapler instead. It works. This thing is supposed to staple 215 sheets of paper at once, it will hold together a few layers of canvas.

I literally laughed out loud at this.

    Makes sense to me! Efficient!
