I have a sa revolver ready for HD. It is sixth on the list of what to grab if the situation arises. Depends on how far things get or how many miscreants need to be dealt with.

I think the same thing, but the OP isn't limited to a single action.

Maybe I should read the thread again.
I just keep seeing the thread bumped and every time I see it I think "Why the FUCK would you want to use a handgun that must be cocked manually for each shot - for HOME DEFENSE?"

Sort of the line of thinking of those who carry with no round in the chamber - be UBER SAFE.

Mybe I was way off base though. I just can't understand why anyone would want a single action pistol as a defensive weapon.
May as well use a muzzle loader instead of an AR15 too.
I don't understand the reasoning at all. "I saw an intruder in the house and I decided to shoot, so I pulled and I pulled, and then pulled some more, but no matter how much I tried, the gun just wouldn't go off. Then I saw it was my daughter. Good thing I was using that gosh-darned cowboy gun!"

Sounds to me like a flashlight is the more practical tool.

Oh yeah I forgot that part. I agree that using a sa revolver when something quicker and easier to manipulate is unnecessarily handicapping yourself. I think there are other ways of not shooting someone you don't want to shoot.
    Some people just plain suck.
If you're gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough.

Get THE CLAPPER. Clap, on come the lights. Then daughter can be avoided by Daddy and daughter can be targeted by the bad guy, and everyone has happy ending.

    Wait...that doesn't sound quite right.

Just wondering... would a clapper light switch be activated by a double-tap?
