I hope if you or your family ever need help, someone who is able to end the threat and is in close proximity to you/them, does not have the same MO as you. God forbid there would ever be an incident, but if there were hypothetically, I'd hope you would appreciate it.

Having the skill, and the intestinal fortitude to stop a threat is not an attempt to fix all of the social problems as you said, only one; and the only one that matters in that terrible moment.

How many medical folks come across an injury or accident and don't intervene when they are able to help even a little bit? Sadly far too many because they are in fear of being sued by the victim or the next of kin. There are many more who WILL do something though out of the basic love for their fellow man. It is those honorable and brave men and women whom I applaud.

I'm with Ammo. My inclination is to fight and save lives. My concern is I don't understand the situation (who is who) or make it worse (if shooting hasn't started yet). So it's going to have to be awfully clear.

I always view these hypotheticals as I'm in close proximity, like right there, see the bad actor(s) and have to make the choice.
I'm not running towards gunfire and assuming who is good and who is bad. I see a guy walk in the gay nightclub and pull a rifle out and start shooting me doubts he's Walker, Texas Ranger

I'm always coming up with "what if scenarios" in my head For example "what if the cops think I'm the active shooter" and crap like that.

I can't believe that streaker hasn't brought this up yet, just carry this stuff and the cops will not bother you.
