Beretta Nano Upgrade
I just upgraded the guide rod and striker guide to stainless steel versions. It took a little effort to get the back plate off and I was amazed that Beretta used a plastic striker guide to begin with. Both pieces came from Galloway Precision and was delivered quickly. I'll report on function when I get it to the range.

How do you like the Nano? I've been eyeing one up.

Re: Beretta Nano Upgrade
I've got about 600-700 rounds through it without a hitch. The plastic guide rod and striker guide was bothering me for some time but I guess all these plastic fantastic guns have the same thing now. The gun itself is easy to carry. There are no levers on the side to catch or snag clothing. You have to get used to having no levers though. The last shot the slide locks open, insert fresh loaded magazine and pull the slide back to release from lock open and away you go.
It's one of those guns if you have weak wrists you're better off with something else because most of the complaints you read about on the internet about this firearm come from weak wristed men who are better off with a revolver or a .22. It's probably no different with any other small semi auto pistol either. I've never had one FTE with mine and I've run Winchester 115 fmj White box out it from the beginning. My carry round is Remington Golden Saber 124gr jhp. It fires those without a problem too.
I was a bit leery about changing anything out on this gun because it has been so flawless for me but the plastic rods were bothering me. One other thing is the sights. You need to take the set screw out of the front sight and apply a spot of blue Locktite to it and reinstall. They have a tendency to come loose around 300-400 rounds. 1.3 mm allen head wrench. Luckily I had one of those in my numerous allen head sets.Corruption is the default behavior of government officials. JPC

Good doggone thing.
I'd say this gun is among the average, some better some worse but it's a good gun. If you can get one new for a decent deal then I recommend it. There are plenty of holsters available. I use a leather holster with a clip and it can be carried at the top of my jeans pocket at about the 2 o'clock position or IWB.

To replace the striker guide you compress the sprig far enough so you can get a pair of cutters on the bullet end and snip it right the heck off. Here's the original parts with the snipped head of the striker guide and the holster.
