I concur, I think the Sig wins. However, Ive never shot one and my real interest in that model is for the 938 (9mm version). I'm a 9mm Shield owner/carrier/fan, and even though I acknowledge the OP was about .380, I have to mention that the 938 nearly bumped the Shield for popularity in a poll in another forum I'm a member of. I totally understand that, and I think the same gun (Sig) in 380 would be even sweeter. Its important to note the overwhelming popularity of the Shield everywhere, so I think that poll says alot for the Sig, regardless of caliber. 380 could only make it smoother.

Beyond that, one nice steel .380 I wanted to mention here is the Llama Micromax. If I was more partial to 380 or didnt already have a pistol chambered for 9x18 I'd grab one in a heartbeat!

I was actually not interested in a 380 pistol until my wife wanted one, after trying it,I was sold, and so was this pistol. I carry this , the p320, and the shield. For summer days the p238 wins hands down in my opinion. Slips into a pocket and disappears, the shield is my general use, and the p320 does well for winter carry

I think 380 and 9x18 are very underestimated by many people. I think the shape of the bullet is one of the "secrets" about it which are often overlooked. Its true that both these rounds carry about 1/6 or so less mass to a target at similar velocities to more moderate 9x19 rounds. 9x19 is so tapered in shape its almost like a spike. 380 is more rounded causing a wider shockwave and displacement of tissue. Before anyone jumps on me I have to state that I'm well aware no 380 or 9x18 projectile is a match for a good 9x19 JHP. But with the logistical advantage you get...grain for grain...by carrying a little380 and the ease of shooting it, it might be a very valuable tradeoff for many people and actually make them just as effective if not more so than than people who gravitate to larger, heavier or faster calibers. Accuracy, and speed in accurate follow up shots is 9/10 of the law with handguns and the .380 is simply at one of those sweet spots in regard to the PROPORTIONS of the bullet in relation to other ballistic parameters.

    Llama Micromax in for reference.
    Basically a well-made midget 1911 in .380!

A friend of mine had a Colt .380 Government model her Dad bought for her back in the 90's. That gun was fun to shoot and it was the perfect size. Her's was the blued model with black grip panels.

This was a case of the indian, not the arrow.
After reading several forums. I dry fired my little LCP 100 or so times and then went back to the range and fired a box of 50.
Lets just say I won't be looking for a replacement anytime soon. Trigger is MUCH smoother, and I'm a lot closer to being very confident and more competent with the little guy now. Guess I never gave it a proper break in, since it's not exactly fun to shoot. The dry firing was a huge help in getting used to the trigger without the snappiness.
Thanks for all the great suggestions folks.
