Bullet stuck loading .44 mag
I had something weird happen tonight. I was loading some polymer coated lead bullets on my lnl progressive. The press felt like it jammed up on the down stroke. I thought it was the resizing die or my powder cop die. I checked both and they looked ok. I thought maybe the brass was expanded from being loaded too hot. I forced it and it indexed. Next round did the same thing.
Here a bullet pulled out in my factory crimp die and got stuck in it. The next round, the bullet in the die pushed the bullet down into the shell. That's when I noticed it. I couldn't get the bullet out of the crimp die. I wound up drilling a small hole in the top of the die and was able to tap out the bullet. I guess I had the crimp too tight and it pulled out the bullet. You always have to pay attention.Any vote for a third party is a vote for a Democrat. You are the enemy.

Re: Bullet stuck loading .44 mag
What does the bullet diameter measure? I have a factory crimp die for .44mag that came with the 4 die set. I load and shoot .432" bullets and they would get stuck in the crimp die if the bullet had a shoulder forward of the case mouth. It got stuck in the floating collar. I of course knocked out the carbide ring like I usually do with an FCD. I was going to bore the sleeve out but I case hardened it and it expanded a couple thousanths after case hardening so I was good.
