TruGlo or EO tech for my pistol?
I have seen some competition shooters on TV using those nifty "quick aim" gun sights that have a circle or X in the viewing frame. They seem to be able to acquire the target quickly with devastating results. I have two semi autos, one for SD and one that is a range gun. I was thinking of such a sight for the latter.
I know that the EO Tech gun sights can cost upwards to $400 or more. MY LGS dealer showed me a TruGlo open red dot sight for around $80 that he says is just as good. I am somewhat skeptical. USUALLY more money spent means better quality bought.
So, I bring the question to the best jury around - YOU. Your opinions are valued. Please tell me what you think. I would place this sight on my FN FiveseveN....

For a sight that is going to live on a handgun slide, I would recommend the Burris FastFire III or a Vortex Viper. Both can be had at $230-$250 and they are very durable. I wouldn't bet a dime on a TruGlo making a single range session riding on a slide mount.

Definitely not an EoTech MRDS. EoTech, aside from lying about parallax and thermal drift, is an older and by all accounts inferior product.
If you want to do it right, go with the big names in reflex sights:
1) Trijicon RMR ~$450
2) Vortex Viper/Venom ~$250
3) Burris FF3 ~$200
4) New player --> Sig Sauer Romeo1 ~$400
I've got a Vortex. It's not horrible. It's actually quite nice for the money. However, the dot could be sharper.I'm only here for the wood c-rings.
