I am not absolutely sure. It has been a few years, but I vaguely remember they had some time of security screening. I am not sure if that was at the main entrance or for a specific area inside the building. It is a 22 story building and it hosts multiple agencies from State Government. I know the Dept of Ed is in there, the Office of General Counsel, and the Pa. Human Relations Commission plus a bunch of others.

OK, for everyone's information. I went there today. There are no signs anywhere stating firearms were not allowed. There was a security guard. But he was to busy on his phone to see much of anything. No metal detectors. I carried all day inside at the event I attended there.

    Keep in mind:

Governments subordinate to (lower on the food chain than) the state can not (legally) make up their own gun laws that are more restrictive than state laws. We (poofa) know this, and discuss it frequently, particularly when it comes to banning firearms on public (aka gov't) property.

You are asking about a State Government building.

    Just sayin'...

I think my issue was trying to figure out if this was "state" or a "federal" building. That is what I was unsure of.
