My LGS recently had Windhams for $399. I guarantee that's 100% true and accurate - I bought 2.

I've seen some other 'respectable' brands at that level. Not easy to find, don't last long, and not common. But they're out there.

I think we're gonna see $299 'respectable' AR's in the next six months, myself. Not home-built, used stuff; but factory-made new. I think that's the 'bottom' of the market and they won't go lower. But you'll be able to find 'em if you look.

My guess is entry-level AR's will stabilize around $600 by end of the year. But over the summer, it'll be deal-time.
FWIW, I popped into that same LGS today and they still have those Windhams for $449, even "off sale"...

Yep and some UC types that seemed to be following certain people.... a lot of NJ and NYers.. which explains the bad driving in the parking lots

If you're talking about Czerw's, you have to get some of their bacon.

Many of the AK are the American made. Priced higher.

I went on Sunday, didn't see many good deals at all. Saw 2 NIB Springfield Saint AR's for $789 with a free AR receiver [cant remember the brand but I never heard of them]
That tempted me but I already have way too many AR's, I do LOVE the feel of those handguards though, think their Bravo Company.
1 of the dealers there had a beat to HELL STG 58 on there table for $2400, built on the ultra UNRELIABLE Hesse receiver. I've seen that particular FAL there for the past 4 or 5 shows, I think he keeps raising the price, IMHO it's only worth about $600 in it's present configuration. Sometimes I don't know what these guys are thinking with their ridiculous prices. M1 Garands were ALL way overpriced as usual.
But overall I had a good day, there were some HOT women walking around [always a plus] sold a K31 that I bought years ago for $250 [sold it for $375] & bought some spare FAL & AR parts that I needed. Met some really cool people too.
I saw the white power people also, this is the 1st show that I ever noticed any of them, have they always been there & I just never noticed??

I went on Sunday as well. Did not see the "white power" people, but I am usually so absorbed with looking at merchandise that Hitler himself could be there in full uniform, and I would not notice him. Best deal of the show for me was a Spanish Model 1916 at $106 OTD. Guy in the end hall had a whole rack of them, and the one I bought was something I had been seeking for years - a Republican made (or possibly rebuilt) Model 1916. This one had "Subsecretaria de Armamento 1938" on the receiver bridge, and actually had a decent bore. How it shoots remains to be seen.

I'm confused, are you saying the Garands were affordable? I've never once found a decently priced Garand there. Always a marked up FG bought from the CMP a few months prior ....

You talking about the one guy with the massive table at the beginning of the A hall?

Not a bad show. Sales for us were good but not great. I did find some nice new items for the shop.

The highlight of the show for me was getting to inspect the M3A1 tank the group from Berwick are restoring. I was chatting with one of the staff and after his learning I was a fellow "Tread head" he invited me up for an in-depth look at "Stuie". Over all the tank is in good shape. It runs well but it needs detail work and cleaned and painted. I've been in quite a few AFVs in my time but never something this cramped. I can't believe this thing held four guys as a crew. I climbed into the Commanders slot in the turret and it was a tight fit. Rob, my guide, asked if I wanted to sit in the drivers position. I replied "If I climb in there you'll have to grease me up and pry me out with a crowbar." The bow-gunners position was even tighter. Good luck to these folks in their restoration endeavor.

Emery has decided to hang up the gun show set-ups. Why I'm not sure. he's a nice guy and will be missed; as will his dog, Bullet.
