    Default Good ammo selection...

Just wondering, who in the area has a good ammo selection on their shelves.

I know I can order stuff off the web, but I want to mix up the boxes. Trying out different ammo and how it shoots in my guns.

    Thx,

    Tom

Although I'm not a big fan, Army & Navy has a nice selection.

Geez.... been there, their stuff is so far back behind the counter I need binoculars, and often feel like I'm blocking people from looking at their counters. I'm thinking I'll have to head out of area to Cabala's.

walmart has great anno prices and they have a great selection on the shelf. If you shoot common ammo like 9mm, 40 cal, or 38 special, they have 100 pack winchester ammo for a good deal. the only place i buy range ammo is at walmart and that is the only thing i buy from walmart. sometimes dick's sporting goods has cheap deals on ammo too when it goes on sale. i bought some 38 special from there before.

Thank you for the feedbacks. I guess i'm loooking for a wide selection, I have walmart stuff(wwb and remmington), but looking for more weights and types. Example, any local off the self supplies of 38 special 158 gr LSWCHP +p, or 38 special powrballs? Have a new 38 and want to try out different rounds for recoil, etc.

    Thx,

It is on Grape St. in Whitehall, across from the Lehigh Valley Mall.

if you want a good selection of ammo, try out amunitiontogo.com cheaperthandirt.com and able's ammo online store. they have a great selection of different weights... for range, it's all the same pretty much, but depending on the caliber, hollowpoints perform differently and you should try them out in balistic gelatin before you buy. i learned that hydroshock sucks in 38 special and i went for a corbon hollowpoint for my 38. hydroshocks work ok in 40 calm but federal hst ammo works better due to the newer technology available, but hst's are harder to find. amunitiontogo has a few different bullet weithts available and prices are reasonable including shipping if you buy enough ammo at a time.

Well feeling good, my mondays are filled with fun. I decide to take an later afternoon drive to Meyers. Once again, I am surprised at what I find there. I got my hands on a box of Remmington 158 gr 38 spl +p LHP "LSWC-HP" ammo. Their only one.

Oh, got a new Taurus PT145 Mag too.

Now I like the surrprise of a good find, but a large selection under one roof would do me fine. Especially if I can pick up and look at the boxes myself.

Oh, check out Meyers should be worth the trip.

Try Eagle Arms. They had a good selection when I was there in the spring. Once again don't discount Army & Navy, take your time and look around especially on the lower shelves on the left aisle you can pick up ammo cheap. They change calibers often for these sales.
