Default Sweet new G10 grips for my Beretta 92FS

Tell me these aren't awesome! The smooth upper half is cool because it makes it easier to move my thumb around to manipulate the controls. The texture on the upper half of the factory grip is unnecessary for me anyway because I put my right thumb on top of my left hand. The lower half looks cool but also digs into your hands without being too obnoxiously aggressive. I got them on amazon for $47 and they're prime eligible so I ordered them Thursday, got them Saturday. Saying they're better than factory is stupid and obvious but they better than the Hogue or Pachmayr grips I've used in the past as well. I like them best because they're so unique. Everybody has seen a million pistols with rubber Hogue grips and those bullshit finger groove grips but these are very different. They're listed as super slim but I don't notice much of a different in width at all. Having said that, that wasn't why I bought them. My wife says they feel slimmer to her though.

Also shown with Wilson Combat checkered magazine release (not recommended for IWB carry!)

Those grips are sharp. Nice to see a fellow 92 fan. Never have I seen a gun so hated for no reason.

Much like Glocks, I only hate them because everyone loves them.

I don't think those look particularly "awesome", but everyone has their own opinions on such matters.

They DO look like they would work as described regarding the smooth/textured portions.

Who am I to judge though? I put black, Magpul grips on a polished nickel 1911.

I'm with EmptyMag on this one. The Beretta 92 is a very difficult pistol to find aftermarket grips for that look right. It is more about the feel though so if you're happy with them that's all that matters, enjoy them.

I think that was him being funny by literally doing what you said - telling you they are not awesome.

VZ Dirty Olives on my 92A1

I also don't understand the hate for the 92.
It has to be the easiest shooting handgun I own.
    Heck, I have two...

I hate Glocks because they're a lazy design that hasn't improved in a long time and nearly every other polymer pistol made right now has surpassed them. Better triggers, controls, looks and build quality. If you can hold or shoot a Walther PPQ for example and tell me a Glock is a better gun, you'd have to be high. I looked at a half dozen different Glocks last week and they all have such a gap between the frame and slide that you can see the recoil spring and sunlight from the other side. If it were any other brand, I'd imagine they wouldn't sell many of them.

The Beretta gets a pass for being all over movies, TV, etc because it's the gun that really got me into guns. Resident Evil in 1999 when I was 13. Hope this is not Chris's blood ...
