I grew up in Ridley Township, DELCO, PA, home of intimidating red police cruisers, patent leather jackets and boots and bad attitudes. Our default response as kids was to run like hell whenever these thugs in blue came around. If they managed to catch you for anything and you mouthed off anything like that guy in the video, you would be nursing a bruised solar plexus, ribs and kidneys or worse for the next few weeks.

Yep, total dicks. I did the brickwork on cooks ( I think he is or was the chief) house when he had it built in the 80s.
The cop that punched out the chick at wawa played baseball for my dad at DCCC.
Dad said he was a loose cannon.

Self-control and adult behavior is a prerequisite for carrying a lethal weapon.

I'm not hearing any evidence that the citizen in that video has any of that.

Armed people should not be taunting other people. What exactly was the best possible outcome of taunting that cop on the sidewalk? Seriously, graph out "best outcome with taunting" and "best outcome without taunting", and show me where the name-calling, racial slurs, gay innuendo, etc is a value-added enhancement to the encounter.

Seems like the kind of "gun owner" who is looking to provoke violent confrontations, and the community doesn't need that. Open carry is fine; when cops misbehave, take it to the courts, don't bark at them like a scared poodle.

Hey MM I want my wasted time back. I didn't think any part of that was funny. Not the unseen actions of the cop or the punk talk from the victim. All I saw was two black men disrespecting each other. Now the guy talking could have been M&M's brother, we don't see him but I think this jebus was black. So yeah I think it's a damn shame they can't get enough poor treatment from the white man that they got to heap it on each other.

Well atleast I'm guilt free now. In the nick of time too. I was just getting ready to mail in my reparations check.

Cop in the photo reminds me of Frank Rizzo era Philly Highway Patrol...
