Re: AR47 Build on GWACS Armory CAV-15 MKII Lower
I was just informed that the CAV15 MK II lowers are no longer being produced!
Upgraded models are in the works!
(from the GWACS Armory home page)
We are thankful for InRange TV’s WWSD project expanding the interest in the GWACS CAV 15 product. With this expanded interest we have virtually sold out of our MK II product line.
This year the CAV-15MKII turns 15 years old and unfortunately during our last production run our injection mold reached its end of life.
We are currently finalizing the design of the CAV-15 MK III that will maintain the same strength and durability as the MK II while including the most requested new features. We have incorporated some features recommended by Russell Phagan aka SinistralRifleman.com who has been involved with the CAV-15 since 2001. These improvements assure the future CAV-15 models are in line with the needs of the modern firearms market.
We will be announcing the availability of the CAV-15 MK III and MK IV later this year!
If you want to receive more information as we near the preorder event please create an account on our web page so that you can receive updates. If you already have an account you will be notified by email.
We want to thank everyone for the enormous support of the GWACS Armory CAV-15 MK II.
Sort of wish I had bought a few more - especially at the price I got these for.
Looking forward to seeing what they do to "improve" them.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Looks great!

Handles great too!
I'm really happy with it.
My only issue to resolve is that it won't feed HP rounds reliably. I dunno if I need to polish the feed ramps, or what.
Other than that, it's great.
Last things I want to do are adding a BCM or equivalent charging handle and doing the grip mods (undercut trigger guard/stipple) and painting it.
So far, I've been too much of a chicken shit to modify and paint it. LOL
I also need a 20 rd mag for that stock mounted mag carrier, but holy hell they cost a fortune.
I missed the boat when the one distributor had them for $17 - now all I can find are #23-$26. (C Products Defense)

Call me crazy but cerakoting it a mahogany brown would look good with he tan to me. The stock lends itself to woodtones. I think it would look insane in a FDE and brown combo.
Burnt Bronze would look good.
There's also Federal Brown, here with your FDE tan:
They have a color called Copper Brown too.

That wood grain looks very nice, and different. Good job.
That pair of pistol and carbine in commie caliber is killing me! Nice builds.
