Sorry, got caught up in packing for and then making a trip half-way 'cross the country to a place with no internet access and I just returned.
As it happens, when I did what you said, it looked exactly like your picture in terms of the bolt 'catching' the round.
I was able, while away, to shoot several hundred rounds through it with the heavier (H2) buffer and that certainly seems to have fixed it up. Rounds are ejecting at around 2-2:30 position, no more jams, and softer 'kick' like I'm used to with AR's. Gonna try out the H3 buffer next time I get to the range, just to see what effect that has (already have it, so might as well...)DGAF
