Questions on kydex IWB holster
Howdy, y'all.
I'm looking to maybe pick up an IWB holster for my CZ P-07 and it's been awhile since I shopped for holsters apparently. Here are a LOT of options for kydex and hybrid holsters out there as options. Who here carries a kydex IWB and how do you like it? My main concerns are 1) comfort (as they won't conform to the body as much as leather) and 2) wear on clothing (as in, will they wear holes in your clothes from rubbing when worn frequently?)
Do they get sweaty and hot?
Are they actually more comfortable because you can use a thinner material to get the same rigidity as leather?
Are they preferable since they won't absorb sweat, which eats away at the finish on the gun?
I'm looking at a High Noon Reaction-Lite because it's low profile, thin, and generally not bulky. I don't wear baggy pants, so something like a big King Tuck or similar holster is going to be way too big to shove into the top of my pants and I'm not buying new pants to accommodate a holster system.
Please enlighten me if you have/had a kydex IWB holster.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Re: Questions on kydex IWB holster
I have tried two IWB that were all kydex. One from Raven concealment and another from bladetech. I would not recommend them.... They are fairly uncomfortable.
I also tried a suede wrapped kydex holster, from NSR tactical.... Not as uncomfortable as 100% kydex, but not comfortable enough for EDC.
So far, the most versatile IWB holster I have is a crossbreed.

Then you're not likely to ever like IWB. The extra room needed for the holster/system is negligible compared to the extra room needed for the gun.
I have used a hand made (my hands, thankyouverymuch) crossbreed clone daily for the better part of 4 years. Fit the clothes to the carry system or carry a different way.

Re: Questions on kydex IWB holster
Not necssarily true. I IWB carry regularly with both purchased and home made holsters (kudos to you for making your own. It takes some work, but it's satisfying.) Since I wear trim, athletic cut clothing rather than baggy, loose clothing, I prefer more streamlined holsters made with thinner materials. That's why I'm asking about the kydex. Some of the holsters out there would wrap around one hip entirely. They may spread the weight around well, but would look like a large growth with my current clothing, and would require me to buy pants that are one size up, which would be silly when I know that there are options that work with my current wardrobe.

Re: Questions on kydex IWB holster
Your mileage may vary but I molded a very simple IWB for my P229R so I could carry a light. It was easy to make, pretty comfortable, and I still use it most days.

Versacarry.
I don't have one because my Crossbreed works just fine and is broken in for me, but a buddy who seems to dress like you do has one of th se things and he loves it.
He is however not concerned about rust or such.

Re: Questions on kydex IWB holster
I think that sheet came from Knife Kits for this holster.
I used a toaster oven to heat the kydex and a foam pad to form the material. Now I'm using a vacuum former to make holsters with more detail.

He just got his, Its the "pro" model.
It does cover the trigger, he got this one since he is carrying a Glock.
I just looked at their site, it's $40 and they are doing a 30% off Presidents Day sale.
I really think this is the least bulky way to carry.
I might try one if I end up getting a compact 1911.
