Damn and they've recently opened up the one store not too far from me.I wonder if a nice big sale will be forthcoming.

Definitely not a surprise, since they built one store in SWPA but are closing at least three. Anybody know if Greensburg is closing too?

The majority sentiment here is that people don't seem to prefer Gander anyway. I do know their gun prices are higher but they did price match to a local gun store if it had the gun you wanted on the shelf (in stock) at a lower price.

I will miss Gander.

Doesn't mean a whole lot. It's just a tool to dump toxic debt and/or restructure debt on more favourable terms. It's not like they are going out of business.

Most of the ones I have been in have very slow traffic. I don't shop there because everything is priced so high.

Have bought ammo from them before when .22lr was hard to find...until I discovered a little hole in the wall shop about 2 miles away that had it cheaper and with no limits.
