My point is (unless I'm wrong) currently there is no mag capacity limit on rifles. Right now I could use a 100 round drum mag on a pump rifle to deer hunt.

I sent my support to the Fish and Game commission and simply pointed out that a wide range of semi auto designs are out there, as is a variety of hunting situations from small game, upland bird, varmit and large game and that any rules should take these into account.

I would prefer it if we had a 8 or 10 round limit for centerfire and rimfires just be waived to whatever, but we'll see what they decide.

I was corrected via PM by another member. As stated I have not hunted for many years and missed the legality of using them. I'm not sure why he felt the need to not post here though.

Part of his PM, his ID not shown:

You are able to hunt with a suppressed rifle...

My cousins collection is NFA heavy he always makes a copy of the paperwork shrinks it down then laminates it. Each copy goes everywhere that specific piece goes and stays in its case. Is it required? Probably not but it's cheap easy insurance if a stupid situation arises.

To help if and when you run into a bunnycop/leo that is not aware of the legality of suppressors.

It's not my responsibility to inform a leo of laws that they are trying to enforce.

And it sure as hell doesn't make sense to "help" a leo by carrying my tax stamps around, making the leo think that one has to carry around tax stamps wherever your NFA item goes.

I would rather carry around the regulation that states that I have to carry documentation around with my NFA items..... Which doesn't exist, to the best of my knowledge.

And who is going to win the argument on the side of the road or in the woods? Here is a hint, Not you. The reason I posted the answer that I did was I read a post from a hunter that was using a SBR and a bunnycop decided that it was illegal and was going to confiscate the weapon. The hunter produced his tax stamp and made a call to the proper authority and the issue was settled amicably with having to go to court. You are correct that is not a requirement to carry a tax stamp around but, you will lose the argument and you will be visiting the authority that took your weapon/NFA item to get it back.
