A few things I want to mention regarding the grand finale pumpkin slaughter...

1. We place them up on the berm/backstop, but as they get blasted, they sometimes roll downhill. It is very tempting to SHOOT at the rolling pumpkin, BUT please DO NOT SHOOT AT PUMPKINS that have rolled to the bottom.
Doing so has the potential to have a round hit the hard ground and skip out of the shooting bay.

2. We must clean up the mess. I'll have a blue tarp and we can each grab some chunks and throw them on the tarp, which we will then drag off into the brush.
Rubber gloves, or junky gloves make this task less "icky".

3. Cutting a small hole in the top and pouring in a gallon of water will make a pumpkin "explode" when hit.
There is no water up on the range, so consider the logistics if you really want to do this.

I will be bringing all of my threaded barrel guns and a couple extra... Got something new to try.

Got about 30 pumpkins today.

Making 445 Supermag ammo now. Will start loading the truck soon.

That is a lot of pumpkins. Less then a day left. I worked threw last weekend and I will be working threw next weekend too, but not this one. See you there.

I'm at work now. Hopefully I'll get home in time to get a few hours sleep, but I'm heading out at 6 one way or the other.

So far I've got the two guns I posted earlier, 2lbs of bacon, q case of bottled water. I'll probably have some targets and extra eyes/ears like I do at the central shoots also. Planning on bringing my sks and I'll probably just carry a 1911 since I already have the mags and ammo ready to go.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Looks like great weather tomorrow, should be a fun time.

Trucks packed. Unfortunatly light on 450 Bushmaster and 500 Mag full house ammo. But have lots of 500 target ammo. So big bore mouse farts it is. Only other casualty is the 1911 10mm Kimber. After working several 80 and 90 hour weeks I forgot that the front sight falls off. So its staying at home.

I actually did finish the last 3 stages at an IDPA match with that gun and no sight. Still scored fairly well.

I did find some 45/70 ammo so I'm bringing that also.
