Here's the thread that follows the building of the lightweight, purple AR15.
I thought I had updated it with a complete parts list but that doesn't appear to be the case.
All the photos are gone thanks to Photobucket.

I too want to thank everyone who contributed it truly is a pleasure spending the day with fellow members of the firearms community. You guys have no idea how much I look forward to theses gatherings. It was good to see a new member and a return of one of the "old" guys. The variety of steel was impressive for such a modest event. I especially want to thank my wife, daughter and her fiancé for attending. This means the world to me.

My internet is slow during the day so I'll wait until later to download some pics. Cindy took a bunch of them so we should have some good ones to share.

The forecast from this morning had me worried that we might see rain at the end. It turned out to be a really nice day. We even got to clean up without the rain.

My goodness . Was that a good time.

It reminded me of earlier shoots. Less regimented but very much fun (as it was originally intended to be).


Just an really great group of like minded people enjoying what we do best. EAT BACON (Thanks to Duke and whoever else contributed and to Cindy for preparing it).

Saw a few old friends. Found out DukeConner and I worked together in years gone by.
A gentleman then and now. Cool to see his son shoot as well as he did too.

Putting a few sources of steel together made an absolutely awesome bay.

We'll have to do this again.

I did win the prize package. Used the cup already. Ha. My wife asked if I was going to get oth ears pierced now. Look for the earring
