They do nothing I'm aware of to draw in new customers.
I've lived within a short drive for 20 years and I've been there maybe 4 times.

Why drive to the hood when I can get what I want from my laptop?

Oh well. I do hate to see any business fail - especially a gun related one. Unless they brought it upon themselves.
According to your logic then it should have failed just as the city it's located in did. Guess it doesn't always work that way.

According to my logic they could be "so much more".

"Surviving" is a lot different than "thriving."
I doubt a new shop would even survive if they opened there today.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Honestly at the moment I could care less, I want my suppressor. As we speak I'm on my way there right now, if they are not open or give me some shit I'll call the ATF to find out my next move.

I get the feeling the place stayed busy. I think this was a legal or paperwork mistake on a grand scale to have the ATF pull the FFL and take over. I was talking with another FFL last night, and although he runs a tight ship he said many FFLs made minor to medium mistakes following the rules and completing paperwork for years while getting warnings from the ATF. It takes a big screw up for something like this to go down, but again I'm just speculating.

    From my clubs forum...

    Dearest PTF Fans and Customers,
It is with great remorse that I have to announce PTF will be closing its doors. I know there have been some rumors floating around for some time about why we are closing but I assure you none of them are true. Without getting into detail we have had some issues with the ATF that have made it impossible for us to continue to do business. We will be shutting our doors on the 9th of February.
Until then ALL FIREARMS IN STOCK WILL BE LIQUIDATED! UP to 60% off! No unreasonable offer will be refused. CASH DEALS will save you a ton on CC fees. Please share this post to spread the word.
If you have gift certificates please spend them immediately. If you have guns that are pending arrival or NFA items waiting for approval you WILL receive your items. The ATF will be handling the NFA transfers from THE 9TH forward. Please contact the ATF field office for more information. (412) 395-0600
I would like to personally thank you for the years of patronage and helping me achieve my dream of having one of the most popular gun stores in the region. My heart aches that I have to leave you. I have formed some great friendships and met some amazing people over the years, but as they say "it is always darkest before the dawn". Keep your heads held high. Stand up for what you believe in and always follow your dreams.
We will still continue to run all social media accounts and maintain our stance on supporting the 2nd amendment.
It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you all.

Calls were made so I'll see how this plays out, ATF was very helpful.

Ya, considering that's what their job is.

It may be their job it doesn't mean they actually do it. Their customer service reputation precedes them.
