    Default 400 yd. test (video)

Started with a beautiful day and I almost screwed it up.

I went out with my H&R .204 Ruger single shot, to see how the gun would group at 400 yards. When I got to my shooting station, dang nabit, I left my ammo at home. I did have 7 rounds of Hornady 32 grain V-MAXs on my sleeve over the stock. Poop ! I had to use 4 rounds to get my .204 somewhere near zero, at 100 yards. I got lucky. The 4 were close enough. I knew I would be low and right at 400 yards, but hopefully I would find the impacts on the box, that I had my target on. I only cared about the grouping, not where the bullet impacts were.

    Pleasant surprise.

Thanks Qtrbore. Feeling OK, white bags are filled with sand. My Bride would kill me, they are my socks. Would you believe 2 inches at 400 yards. On a miss, all I have to do is look in a mirror. When I walked up to the box, I said "poop I missed the box"----those holes are really tiny.

Nice shooting. I never knew those guns were so accurate. Such a simple design. I only shot the 12ga versions.
