    Default XS sights

Does anyone use XS handgun sights? I like the "dot the eye" type sights, and they look like they'd be really fast to use for a defensive pistol.

    Thoughts?

Some folks like 'em, some do not. I think they suck.

For out to 10 yards they are probably fine, maybe a bit faster, maybe. I doubt they are any faster for a well "practiced" practitioner though.

Nothing beats a nice crisp sight picture for accuracy and nothing beats redundancy and practice for deploying that sight picture.

At best they are a solution to to a training problem.

I've written about them a few times on here...I used them for a few thousand rounds.

These sights have been talked about to death.
Here's my .02...and I've since come to think they suck even worse now.

The search button will yield a lot of results...consider the sources though.

Dan burwell makes a nice plain black rear sight. I think I like them better anyway.

You can try the set I have on one of my Glocks.

If you like Burwell's sights, check out David Bowie's, found here: Bowie Tactical / AmeriGlo Sights.

I prefer the Bowie sights, but I'd rather have Dan Burwell do the other work that I want done to my gun.
