Re: Newbie. Question about transporting gun from airport to home
Many shops have varying pricing for transfers.
You can't just call and ask "How much is a transfer?"
Some do charge the same for any type, but many will charge a higher price if it's not a "walk in", or if a firearm is coming to them from another vendor. I don't have an issue with that seeing as you are using them for a transfer but not buying anything - AS LONG as the price isn't TOO high over the normal price.
Always explain what you are doing and get the correct price before you learn it is something different at the last minute.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Newbie. Question about transporting gun from airport to home
Whether $75 or $20 on the receiving end, either way, still a hell of a lot cheaper than legal fees if the transfer wasn't completed in a way that abides by the laws of both states and the feds.
It's refreshing to see a thread where the wise old sages help out a noob, the noob actually heeds the advice and it all works out well. Reminds of me of why I joined this forum 10 years ago when threads like this were the norm rather than the exception. You are a straight white man. You don't get to be the victim, sweetie.
