Gun-toting homeowner thwarts burglary in Keithville

    http://www.shreveporttimes.com/story...lle/807781001/
Four men who planned to commit a burglary on Thursday were surprised by a gun-toting homeowner, according to Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.

Just before 10 a.m., deputies were called to the 11000 of Peggy Lane in Keithville regarding a burglary in progress. The homeowner said several men were at her front door dressed in hoods and carrying backpacks. When she met them at the door with a handgun, the suspects fled in an SUV that was parked in the bushes.

At the same time, a passer-by reported to the sheriff’s office they witnessed the hooded suspects on the porch of the residence and another hiding in the bushes.

Caddo Sheriff’s Lt. Jackie Lewis spotted the suspects’ vehicle and stopped it in the 3200 block of Colquitt Road. The vehicle contained several backpacks, masks, a large knife and marijuana.

Sheriff’s Detectives Russell Hicks and Matthew Lucky investigated the burglary and booked the suspects into Caddo Correctional Center. Arrested were Jacorey Fuller, 20; Andre Ealy, 20; Tristen Bradley, 20; and Micah Eugene, 24. All were arrested for simple burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of marijuana.

Home intruder flees after woman fires shot at him

    http://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/hom...-him/631303989
LANCASTER, S.C. - A woman shot at a home intruder at about 8 a.m. on Friday forcing him to flee her Lancaster home.

The homeowner told deputies she heard her doorbell ring and answered the door on Nope Lane in Lancaster.

That was when the man, who police said is Antonio D. Mackey, 35, of Lancaster, forced his way in leading to a struggle with the victim.

She tried to dial 911, but Mackey took the phone from her hand.

That was when the woman grabbed a pistol, firing a shot at Mackey who ran into the woods.

Mackey is still on the loose and authorities are searching for him.

“We need to get Mackey into custody as soon as possible, and I encourage anyone with information on his whereabouts to call us,” Sheriff Barry Faile said. “This victim is a brave lady, and her response to this attack no doubt prevented her from being seriously injured.”

The victim was not seriously injured, and it is unknown whether the gunshot struck the man.

Mackey has arrests warrants charging him with burglary first-degree, kidnapping and assault and battery first-degree were obtained.

Mackey is black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

Anyone with information about this or any other case should call the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at 803-283-3388 or Midlands Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372) or email www.midlandscrimestoppers.com.

I TEAM: deadly self-defense shooting caught on camera

    http://fox8.com/2017/10/18/i-team-de...ght-on-camera/
CLEVELAND - The FOX 8 I TEAM has obtained exclusive video of a deadly shooting that happened after a confrontation on an RTA bus.

Wednesday, Abdul Rahman, the gunman, walked out of court with probation for a gun charge. Earlier, a grand jury did not indict him for murder.

The shooting happened this summer on Cleveland’s east side. Video shows Rahman riding an RTA bus. Then a young man starts challenging him, saying, "Come on. Get off the bus. Come on. Put up your fists, man.” Rahman then pulls a gun and waves it, and the other guy backs away.

Twenty seconds later, the bus stops and three people bully Rahman off the bus, saying, "Get your --- off the bus. Move it. Go. Off the bus."

As Rahman gets off the bus it appears he pulls his gun again, and the people at the doorway back off. But then, they start to follow him aggressively. Moments later you hear a gunshot, and you see a man collapse. Andrew Easley died.

Cuyahoga County prosecutors took the case to a grand jury. But Rahman only got indicted for weapons charges. He should not have had a gun because he was convicted of robbery way back in 1973.

He recently told the I TEAM, he fired the shot in self-defense. And in court he told the judge at sentencing, "I'm sorry for everything that happened."

Judge Nancy Fuerst pointed out she could only punish him for the gun and not the killing. She put Rahman on probation for two years.

Rahman made a living as a professional boxer for a while, and in the 80’s he even fought Mike Tyson.
