Default Cast your own AR15 lower?

I don't recall seeing anything about these here before, perhaps I missed it. What's everyone's thoughts on these?

I'm always intrigued by building things. Casting is something I've always wanted to do more of. I cast lead for bullets and at my shop for boats. It isn't too hard to get into casting aluminum, it's gets harder with bronze (what I'd like to get to) and iron/steel.

It would be fun to try that kit. Another option might be to use a lower and make a mold to cast out of aluminum. The aluminum would probably need some machining.
