I had heard the rumors of Moms Desperate for Attention having a "big rally" at the State House today, so I went back over to Harrisburg to do a little reconnaissance. I think I finally found them, 4-5 cameras with about a dozen Legiscritters taking turns at the microphone up on the balcony over the main rotunda (right in front of the Lt. Governor's office). I was too far away to hear what they were saying, other than the occasional snippet of "Guns are Evil!" I guess Michael Bloomburg only paid for one small bus, just before they finished another half-dozen or so people in their red MDA tee shirts came up and just as quickly they all dissipated. Unless I missed a whole lot of other stuff somewhere, they had a total flop, compared to us filling the rotunda on Monday.

OF&U, sorry I couldn't make it back Tuesday, my afternoon meeting in Lancaster was pushed up to 10am, so I had no time to get there and observe the anti-rights / demanding mothers / Little Napoleon sponsored rally with you! It was nice to meet you on Monday none the less.

Saw the Moms Demand group on PCN yesterday afternoon. Some babbling idiot was going on and on about Universal Background Check legislation that he was submitting, and everyone around him was bobbing their heads in agreement. Continued to babble on about the Gun Show Loophole. I changed the channel.

Just got home. The other protesters didn't seem to really want much to do with our group, or the biker group that was there either. They seemed content to sit in the hallway and chant stuff. I loved when we walked through they screwed up their chant and had to stop and restart once. Fairly comical. The capitol PD seemed to have stuff under control and there was more police presence than usual from what I remember. I was really hoping to see them sick the dog they had on one of them, but it wasn't in the cards.

You gave me an idea. Dress like a hipster and sneak into a protest. Start chanting something completely stupid and let the lemmings start following my lead. Destruction of their protest using the good ole telephone game.

I bet it would work every time, they're just following someone else's lead when they show up for these shows of stupidity.

The "Chanting Anarchists" were back, I still can't figure out what they want, other than to make noise and try to get attention.

I was the other guy with my friends Jeff & Blake, (<-AKA Biggfoot44 -note spelling- both here and on MDShooters.com) me being the recovering MD'er as they have not yet made their escape. Part of the attraction of PA to subjects of the Maryland Socialist Republic is being able to open carry on the steps of a State House, and it's still a bit of a rush for me even though I've had my LTCF for a couple of years now. I think it's a good idea to know what's going on in the "neighborhood" so I am thinking about going down to Virginia for a VCDL event some day.

The secret on that "monstrous" revolver: it was a .22 chosen for its stainless steel frame (and it was also in a nylon holster) due to unpredictability of precipitation.

They were not protesting, they were OBSTRUCTING. They were blocking the hallway connecting the two main portions of the building and yelling and jumping around like maniacs. Even Robert Fuckface would have thought twice about going through that crap, despite what he would say, everybody knows these are petty and violent shitbag commies capable of anything at any moment. You talk about your daughter, we were a little concerned ourselves. Not, "Oh, the smelly hippies are going to hurt us" but more along the lines of running into some kind of conflict that might cause legal problems. I don't think it takes an oracle to guess that people actually went out of the building to the other entrance, which would have been a long process with the way they were running security. The screaming whackos basically had the area blocked off and you had to push your way through them. And they seemed like they were on meth or something, these people fucking flipping out.

But I saw the Capitol Cops all over them and I knew if one attacked me I could break them down piece by piece and the cops would drag away what was left. Many rallies and protests have been like this, I've always seen the highest level of professionalism from Police and Sheriff Deputies in these situations. And Capitol Cops have pretty much the most experience with this kind of nonsense. The cops know who the good guys are, they leave everybody alone, but they take no shit. They were actually putting up with more shit than they should have, they should have made them move. But not my yob.
