Re: 2017 2nd amendment rally?
My take on the event:
Answer to #1
We stand around listening to speakers and afterwards go to reps offices to convince them to be pro 2A.
Each group/organization going off on their own to see their reps.
Answer to #2
Last year and this year; the rally it's self is inside the state house, in the Rotunda. State house has a court in it.
So no carry of any kind.
Two years ago; when the rally was held outside.
It was requested by the organizers to not open carry rifles.
Simply because the left leaning media always used that as anit-gun propaganda.
Answer to #3
The group I've gone with the past three years. Wrapped things up mid-afternoon. 3pm ?--ET

Re: 2017 2nd amendment rally?
I will OC a rifle and they can suck my dick.
That's silly.
I think they said they do not check rifles and therefore they did not want anyone trying to force them to check rifles, "that is not what the event is about" or somesuch. That I can understand. But do whatever the F you want. These are the people that would not let Streaker's kid talk about his issues to legislators because it was not firearms related. We very much need to work with them, and support them, but you never need to put up with bullshit. Come when the event starts and leave whenever you want. We usually go to lunch at Philly Cheesteak.
I hope to see you at breakfast, go to the breakfast thread and sign in for headcount.

The missus and I are coming to breakfast - we're bringing long rifles for outside the Capitol Bldg. (muzzleloaders). We'll leave the powder at home...

This is the fuckin outage that won't end. Just when it looks like we'd be online in time for this weekend, now we have a bunch of ankle biter problems that have already pushed into Saturday.
I'm still in for now, even if I have to get on the road at 3am. I won't bail until last minute if this outage keeps dragging on.Life has a melody. Not great, not terrible.

I will be there as usual. I believe this is my 9th year attending. It is something to look forward to putting on the calendar each spring. Each new year brings new possibilities for us.

I'll be there in spirit. Thanks to all that are actually going.
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.
