1911 vs Glock argument finally over?

I think it's one of the most visually appealing new handguns in a while. No over-designed nonsense just to look "modern" like most do.

At first I thought "Oh great, another retarded safety-right-on-the-trigger gun" - but you can delete that dumbassed shit if you want, so "Yay!"

In this case the bulk up front is where the recoil assembly is which allowed them to have a much lower bore access and supposedly next to no recoil in 9mm.

Anytime something different comes out it's a good thing as far as I'm concerned. It may not be great now but if its a valid designe it can be improved upon down the line.

Interesting that a 1911 can have a low bore axis without nearly that much crap up front. And has had it for over 100 years...

Maybe it will suck or maybe it will be the next evolution in firearms either way there's definitely room for it in the current bland Polly striker fired pistol market.

I'd love to shoot it but right now my CZ p09 and colt competition are filling the 'bored with glock' category. I think my G19 and G43 are irreplaceable but it's still fun to try a little 'strange' here and there.

My point is: that gun has *twice* the front cross-section of a 1911, which has a quite functional recoil system. Why could they not make this work without adding unnecessary bulk? Even Glocks aren't that big.

This design makes the overall profile as awkward as having a mounted light, and if - heaven forbid - you actually want to hang a light from it, the controls will not be in front of your trigger finger.

Even if I handled it and it made the recoil in 9mm seem like a .22 (which I doubt), or was a 200yd tack driver out of the box, practically and ergonomically it doesn't make sense to me.

My first impression is a high priced Hi-Point. Just not visually appealing to me. Will wait and see what the reviewers have to say.
