York area Repub businessman Wagner officially announces run against wolf in '18

Here is the full timeline that I heard, some of the facts not being reported:

Wagner is a member of, and was speaking at a country club.
The club is PRIVATE property.
While speaking, Wagner recognized a lefty reporter from a paid-agitator organization, who follows him around to try to film "gotcha" moments to wreck Wagner.
Wagner's speech had nothing controversial, it was mainly about the PA budget.
Wagner approached the reporter after the speech and asked him if he was a member at the private club.
Reporter was not a member, and was then told he wasn't allowed to film on private property.
When he wouldn't stop filming, Wagner calmly said "I'm confiscating the camera" and took it off the tripod and walked to put it in an office.
Reporter pulled out an iPhone and started recording with that and chased Wagner down several hallways into office area.
Wagner said he's not returning camera, reporter then said "I'm recording because Ima scared" (exact words used!) and said he finger is bleeding.
Reporter than started repeating "you assaulted me!.
Wagner said, I did not assault you, never shouting, cursing or showing much anger.
Police were called.

While I do not believe Wagner should've held onto the camera that long, this looks like it was the exact results and setup that the reporter went to the club trying to get. It would have been smarter by Wagner to just ask security to toss the defiant trespasser out and they should have been the ones to take the camera if anyone had to.

I think what you are saying is we all need to jump behind the R to get power back.
The problem is that all the D's are D's and half or more of the R's are also D's. Simply voting for an R more often than not gives you a D. Look at the direction and history of the voting. The D's progress the agenda and when the R's are in power they do nothing to reverse it and in many times add to it. Look at how they won't reverse obama care. They won't reverse all the gun laws. They won't balance the budget. They won't do anything that and R is expected to do. We need a whole new batch of R's to replace the current batch.
So when someone says we need to be weary of the new R running for office they are right.

But when it comes to elections, we have to start winning if for no other reason than to slow down the march left. The Democrats almost ran an overt socialist as their presidential candidate. An effing socialist! And he was considered a viable candidate in the United States of America.

I don't believe Trump is the high point of Republican politics but when the D's choice is a socialist (or a corrupt POS like Hillary), I'll take the imperfect R all day long. So back on topic, give me a flawed, self-made businessman who claims to be a Republican over Wolf all day.

Here's the video of the incident. I saw it on KDKA tonight. He and other candidates came to Irwin today to speak to the Westmoreland County Republican Committee. KDKA was there to ask him about it. The other candidates were shown going in and out. He apparently snuck in a back entrance.

When I announced that I was running for Governor of Pennsylvania, I knew Tom Wolf and the left would throw every dirty trick in the book at me.

If I’ve demonstrated anything during my write-in campaign and subsequent three years in the PA State Senate, it’s that I have zero tolerance for thugs who think they can harass, intimidate, and bully me into backing down.

Since announcing my candidacy, state and national Democrats have been sending one to two trackers to every event I attend – they know I am the biggest threat to their Kingdom.

For those who do not know what a “tracker” is, it is an individual who is hired by the opposition to video tape a candidate’s every move with the intent to get them on camera saying something that can be taken out of context and then later used in a negative attack ad.

On Tuesday, May 2nd I was scheduled to speak at a private event on private property.

A Democrat tracker gained entry to the event under false pretenses.

The tracker then recorded the conversations at this private meeting without the consent of those in attendance. Consent is required by Pennsylvania law before a conversation can be recorded. As a public official I am used to being recorded, but no one else in that room had consented to having their discussions with me recorded by the tracker. To the contrary, they thought they were attending a private event.

When it became clear that the tracker would not stop recording and leave the event, I took the initiative to remove the camera until the police could arrive. I requested that the Country Club of York call the police and escort the tracker from the premises.

The tracker’s employer, American Bridge, is a leftist political organization that is a tool of the Obama and Clinton machines.

American Bridge is financed by a who's who of liberal donors, including the Democrat Party's sugar daddy, billionaire George Soros, who contributed one million dollars in March of 2016.

American Bridge's mission is to disrupt conservative gatherings and intimidate Republicans - just like they attempted to do this past Tuesday. I'm not afraid of them, and I will not allow them to disrupt my events and intimidate my constituents and supporters.

American Bridge is welcome to send their trackers to my public events and record every word of my no nonsense, conservative message. I hope they distribute it far and wide because it's a message that is going to win the Governor's office back for the people of Pennsylvania.

HARRISBURG — President Donald Trump hasn't endorsed a candidate in Pennsylvania's gubernatorial election next year, but Scott Wagner might have something close to it: Steve Bannon's stamp of approval.

Bannon, the divisive ex-Trump strategist, urged a conservative gathering at a St. Louis hotel on Sunday to support the Republican state senator from York County.

Conservatives could start “taking” the country back in Tuesday's U.S. Senate GOP primary in Alabama, where Bannon and Trump campaigned for different candidates, and “when Scott Wagner runs in Pennsylvania,” Bannon told the gathering.

Wagner, a Trump supporter who runs the municipal waste-hauling company he founded, spoke right before Bannon at the gathering and criticized not only Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf but also his fellow Republican lawmakers.

Harrisburg, he said, is a “real swamp.”

Wagner told the crowd that his two-hour trip flying to St. Louis with Bannon left him “500 percent more emboldened.”

“Tomorrow in Pennsylvania the gloves are coming off and the message is, `The hardworking Pennsylvanians, you're being shafted by the corruption in Harrisburg, OK?“’ Wagner said. “Career politicians, Democrat and Republican. But I now see firsthand serving in the Senate. We now have a veto-proof majority, we went to 34. I watched Republican leaders giving our governor a free pass, and you know what? Enough is enough.”

What Wagner was talking about, Bannon told the crowd, was not about beating just Democrats but also the Republican establishment.


“The first thing we've got to get through is a corrupt and incompetent Republican establishment,” Bannon told the crowd to cheers.

Republicans in Congress have failed to support Trump's “populist, nationalist, conservative” message and ideas, Bannon said.

About 400 people were at the rally hosted by Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, a spinoff of the conservative think tank Eagle Forum, which Schlafly founded and led until her death last year.

Former health care consultant Paul Mango, of suburban Pittsburgh, also is seeking the GOP nomination to challenge Wolf's bid for a second term next year. Meanwhile, lawyer Laura Ellsworth, of suburban Pittsburgh, has said she is seriously considering running and is expected to announce a decision around the end of September. House Speaker Mike Turzai, R-Allegheny, has been silent about his plans to run.

Wagner said Bannon asked him a lot of questions on their flight together to St. Louis, which Wagner chartered from Baltimore. Primarily, he said, Bannon peppered him with questions about why he is running and about Pennsylvania, his campaign and his message.

“So, he said, `Pennsylvania taxpayers are getting the shaft by cronyism and special interest groups,“’ Wagner said.
