The truth is that if OSHA regulated firearms, then silencers would be mandatory for cops and security guards.

BTW, since she's working hard to disarm everyone except the criminals, what exactly does she think that people DO when they hear gunshots approaching? Most gun murders happen as a single incident, the perp pulls a gun, shoots, and then flees. The only time that hearing the shooter approach would matter, is in a spree shooting, an "active shooter" situation, and those nearly ALWAYS occur in "gun-free zones", meaning that thanks to people like her, the victims only have the option of hiding under desks before they get killed. "Children, we can hear the gun shots, so everybody assume the Victim Position like we practiced. Duck, cover, and die."

Silencers are hardly "silent" and can still be heard a distance away. By the way, dopey Shannon is dating herself. The devices have not been called silencers in years, they are now referred to suppressors which is much more accurate to their actual function.
The NFA calls them "silencers". It's legally correct. You can also call an Uzi a "selective-fire firearm", but the NFA will call it a "machinegun".

She's an ignorant liar, but it's not incorrect to call a suppressor a "silencer". If we get a bill to remove them from the NFA, it will be a bill to remove "silencers" from the NFA, and treat them like car mufflers and hearing protectors, other devices to reduce damaging noise to tolerable levels. I have a little muffler on my lawnmower, but I have to pay $200 and jump through red tape to do the same for a gun? Do you have any idea how many people are injured by lawnmowers every year?

If Bloomberg keeps employing her after this comment, his movement is officially dead.
